This is a study course guiding students through the Best Practices Guide available at AAERT to assist with passing the Certified Electronic Transcriber (CET) examination at AAERT.

Must have own purchased copy of AAERT's Best Practices Guide to navigate through this course, with the goal of taking and passing the national CET examination. The guide is found here for purchase directly from AAERT. Best Practices Guide - AAERT

Obviously, no guarantees can be made that anyone will magically pass the national CET examination by taking this course, but the student will have a much better understanding of the contents of the guide. After taking this course, a student should feel ready to pass the CET exam administered at the American Academy of Electronic Reporters and Transcribers.

Some prior legal transcription experience is very helpful to fully understand all the material in the guide. (We also offer complete top-to-bottom legal transcription training in a different course.)

It's usually much easier to navigate through something that can be overwhelming by having a coach break things down into bite-sized pieces. Instructor Linda Wilson does exactly that. She narrates the most important points in the Best Practices Guide as she goes through it on screen, and you follow along with your own copy of the guide.

Course includes:

• Downloadable notes that correspond with the videos. Notes can be used as a quick refresher "checklist" before taking the CET examination, saving many hours of time.
• Downloadable sample pages.
• Downloadable templates.
• Graded quizzes to help reinforce material addressed in the guide.

This course takes around 14 hours to complete.
